THE BRIEF

A cinematic sequence carrying the emotional shift from storm to calm, keeping ship, character, environment and motion consistent across every shot.

APPROACH

Storyboard-led direction: references, framing and scale defined up front to control continuity and narrative progression before generation.

PROBLEM

Character — same silhouette, costume and proportions across shots, angles and lighting.
Ship — one consistent object across the sequence. The models hallucinated heavily, and the helm kept appearing in unrealistic positions on deck.
Camera — movement coherent with the ship's scale and weight, without breaking continuity between shots.
Storm — realistic water, wind and light, evolving credibly from tension to calm.

SOLUTION

References rebuilt, ship and shots redesigned, storyboard developed to lock continuity, scale and pacing. The ship was stabilized through image studies and increasingly constrained prompting, testing multiple models to compare results. Sea, light, ship movement and camera then refined shot by shot until the transition from storm to calm felt real. Final finishing and compositing in After Effects.

RESULT

A credible arc from the tension of the storm to the final opening: one ship, one world, one continuous story.
