THE BRIEF

A product film for a fragrance bottle. Requirements: evoke the Greek goddesses, with elegance, originality and class, and let the viewer perceive the scent. Name, bottle and film conceived and directed from scratch.

APPROACH

The bottle as protagonist. Starting point: the Greek column, but not the usual fluted cylinder. The form was modernized into a rectangular flacon, with a few abstract flutings on the sides as a trace of the column. Name: Divine. Every shot, light and gesture built to elevate the object.

PROBLEM

Bottle — strict geometry and embossing fidelity across every shot, with no drift in proportions or lettering.
Character — the biggest challenge. At every cut she looked like the same woman, but she wasn't.
Glass & liquid — believable refraction, caustics and droplet interaction.
Motion — a sinuous, sophisticated rhythm, avoiding the stiff movement typical of generative video.

SOLUTION

Product geometry locked, caustics and refraction controlled, fluid dynamics and studio lighting guided shot by shot. Character continuity supported by studies and corrections in Photoshop, alongside rigorous shot selection; motion refined in the edit. Final compositing in After Effects.

RESULT

A luxury product film where glass, light and liquid become sensory: a bottle designed to be desired, and a scent the viewer can almost perceive.
